Unlock your inner detective with an exciting game of Little Artist’s Eye Spy and discover details you might otherwise have missed. Looking for an adrenaline charged weekend? Planes, Trains and Autos is for you. Head to The Workshops Rail Museum at Ipswich for a celebration of all things aviation, rail and automotive. Special guests include Autobots, Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and action sports athlete Matt Mingay. Get your photo taken!
Roll in to Riverlink. A 22m x 7m roller skating rink can be found at Riverlink, Ipswich for the school holidays. This is your last chance to lace up your colourful skate, request your favourite tune and let the good times roll (literally)!. All you need to bring are your socks and a sense of excitement.
Putt amongst all of your favourite sugary snacks at a candy land-themed mini-golf course. Just in time for Easter, Victoria Park has transformed its putt putt course into a sweet-tooth’s wonderland. Say hello to Candyland Putt Putt, a mini-golf course that’s set to give you one heck of a sugar rush. Popping up from April 1 until May 8, this golf course will feature a host of delectable delights including classic holes like Fairy-floss Fairway, as well as brand-new holes like Ice-cream Court, Candy Shoppe, Sugar Shack on Sugar Slopes and Bunny Hop. The best part of this candy-laced adventure? The putt putt course is fully licensed. You can order drinks and snacks as you play via the QR codes located at each hole. Online bookings are essential.
For those who love the arts
Immerse yourself in these stellar shows. Included in the list of must-see shows appearing in Brisbane is Frozen: The Hit Broadway Musical. Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions and featuring music and lyrics by Academy Award-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, Frozen The Musical is based on the Disney feature film of the same name. It features a full score and includes 12 new songs. Also, Roald Dahl’s gruesome twosome The Twits arrive on stage to delight and disgust, in equal measure. See contemporary art from across the globe at this breath-taking exhibition. The 10th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT10) features a whopping 69 projects by emerging and established artists and collectives from across the world, this exhibition of recent and newly commissioned art will stick around until April 25. Try the pop-up immersive experience. In case you weren’t aware, Imaginaria extended its Brisbane run. This stunning immersive play experience combines audio-visual art, inflatable architecture, light installations and futuristic gamification suitable for all ages. Visitors are invited to step inside, slip off their shoes and engage with AI projections, sensor-triggered LED waves, giant silk parachute canopies, cosmic gardens, an anti-gravity sunset, an electronic hall of mirrors and a digital wishing well that whispers your greatest desires.
