Active Early Learning Curriculum launches at Edge

Edge Early Learning has partnered with The Australian College of Physical Literacy to bring the Active Early Learning (AEL) Curriculum into all Edge centres.

The AEL Curriculum is based on over 14 years of research and is proven to develop children’s minds and bodies simultaneously, resulting in overall improved wellbeing. It brings with it many added cognitive benefits too, such as improved memory, problem solving and concentration. These provide children with a foundation on which to become more engaged with their learning.

Edge Early Learning CEO Annie Bryce explained, “We are committed to building early learning centres that are tailored to the needs of the community and give local children a place where they can explore new interests, develop a strong sense of wellbeing and become confident and involved learners as they progress into their school years.”

The addition of the Active Early Learning Curriculum expands on their existing inquiry-based philosophy, where children are encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and learn through play.

Edge Early Learning has 19 centres across South East Queensland:

  • 12 centres in Brisbane, with a further three due to open in 2021 in Zillmere, Annerley and Wynnum.
  • 4 centres on the Gold Coast: Bilinga, Elanora, Pimpama and North Pimpama. And a fifth is opening Coomera in 2021.
  • 3 centres on the Sunshine Coast: Peregian Springs, Peregian Breeze, and a newly renovated centre at Aroona.

Enrolments for 2021 are open now.
