Creating a Sanctuary in Gold Coast child care and early learning

Looking for Gold Coast child care options? Take a tour of Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure – Maudsland and Ashmore.

With two locations on the Gold Coast – Ashmore and Maudsland – Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure is a family-owned and operated Gold Coast child care and early learning service.

Sanctuary Ashmore is conveniently located centrally to the local school hub of Ashmore State School. While Sanctuary Maudsland is situated among the environmental corridor of the Gold Coast Hinterland.

The holistic Gold Coast child care service educates and cares for children from six weeks old, right through to 5 years old (plus school age at Ashmore)

Sanctuary’s philosophy comes from their values of collaboration, connection, and respect. Both Gold Coast centres are built to provide children with an environment that enables them to play, explore and learn. Each corner of every space has considered the learning adventure of families and children, offering a safe home-like environment.

Early Learning at Sanctuary

The curriculum at Sanctuary Early Learning Gold Coast is guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG), the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and My Time Our Place (MTOP). Through this, Sanctuary provides fun, interactive learning-based programs such as The Gardening Club, Junior Chefs Program and more.

As well as the EYLF and the QKLG, Sanctuary also adopts STEAM, a curriculum based on science, tech, engineering, the arts and maths. It also has plenty of outlets for creativity, such as music dance and art.

Health and wellbeing in Gold Coast child care and early learning

There is nothing more important than the health and wellbeing of your child. That’s why Sanctuary encourages participation in sports, mindfulness activities, yoga and learning about healthy eating.

Sustainability is also a key part of life at Sanctuary, with the centres encouraging connection to the natural world through instilling sustainability habits into children at a young age. Children get to explore nature and wildlife, recycling and lots more during their days.

Understanding that the future generations of Australia are under their care, Sanctuary is also committed to supporting and role modelling respect and connection with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People. The centres do this through its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), which is regularly monitored, actioned, and updated.
