Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo at South Bank
Queensland’s very own dinosaur is about to take the stage! Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo is stomping into the South Bank Piazza from 9 to 17 January 2027 these school holidays.
Created by Australian puppetry company Erth Visual & Physical, this 45-minute live show brings lifelike prehistoric creatures to life. Families will meet Australovenator wintonensis, discovered right here in Queensland, and come face-to-face with a towering Thunderbird that once roamed around Brisbane.
Designed for children aged three and up, the interactive performance invites young audiences to discover the science behind these remarkable creatures, with opportunities to learn how to feed and interact with the dinosaurs.
Families can also enjoy pre-show crafts and workshops, or upgrade your adventure with an exclusive post show Dinosaur Zoo experience. For an additional $10pp, guests can access an exclusive backstage experience featuring an up-close encounter with the prehistoric dinosaurs, cast meet-and-greets and photo opportunities with your favourite dinosaur. Strictly limited spots available.
Roving dinosaurs will also pop up around South Bank from 12 to 23 December, giving families an early taste of the prehistoric fun to come.
It’s a perfect way to keep curious kids entertained these school holidays.
