Kookaburra Kulture Wilderness School presents a one week Nature Connection school holiday program on the beautiful Lake Weyba in the second week of the April school holidays.
Now more than ever our children need to reconnect to Nature, to themselves and to their peers. Nature
is the perfect medium to help us to remember to slow down, find joy, find connection and learn the ancient skills of inner and outer tracking. Students will also learn how to make shelters, orientate to the land, make fire in traditional ways, learn to be still, learn how to weave with natural materials, learn bushcraft skills well as playing in the lake and surrounding area.
The program runs in a similar way to a Montessori educational model, where the students are mentored in age group brackets:
Wild Ones | Ages 5- 7 years
Maximum of 12 children
Proud Pelicans| Ages 8- 12 years
Maximum of 12 children
Surfin Stingrays | Ages 13- 17 Years
Maximum of 12 children
