Step into the world of printmaking. Try the fascinating Geli plate printmaking techniques with artist Gillian Richards.
Create unique prints using gelatine printing plates. Use stencils and found objects with inks or paints. This is a simple but very effective form of one-off or Mono printmaking. A gelatine plate is inked up with water-based printing ink or paint. A brayer or roller is used to roll the paint or ink out across the gel plate. Stencils or found objects are pressed into the plate to form an impression. A print on paper can then be taken. Layers of printing can achieve great results.
