QACI Open Day

Queensland Academies Creative Industries (QACI) is a selective entry co-educational senior (Years 10 – 12) state high school attracting a diverse range of students with shared attributes and interests. QACI learners seek a rich and integrated academic curriculum and collaborative learning experiences.

QACI students study towards an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma – an internationally recognised pre-university level qualification, enabling learners to work toward achievements based on merit in a non-competitive environment.

Experience QACI first-hand at their Open Day on Saturday 24 May, 10am – 2pm. Engage with their subject stalls, Principal address and alumni panel, workshops and presentations, meet their teachers and students, and learn about the QACI Culture.

Students in Year 9 can participate in their cross-disciplinary Discovery Workshops which enable students to experience QACI and explore their potential across the International Baccalaureate Curriculum. These workshops will take place from 10am – 12pm during QACI’s Open Day and students can attend one (1) workshop.

No knowledge or skills pre-requisites are required to attend the workshops, and they are a great way to experience QACI’s campus and learn more about the International Baccalaureate Curriculum. Designed using a cooperative approach that merges elements from different subjects these hands-on workshops provide opportunities for lateral, collaborative, and creative thinking in fun and engaging ways with their world-class educators.

Discovery Workshop bookings are essential as each workshop is capped to a limited capacity. Workshops are $15*. This covers the costs of materials required for the workshop and are non-refundable. Reservations for workshops will close on Thursday 22 May, 9am.
