The 12th Annual Sample Food Festival, a taste of Northern NSW will take place on Saturday 7 September 2024 at the Bangalow Showground in the Byron Bay hinterland.
Experience tasting plates from the region’s best restaurants, alongside local brews and cocktails from award winning Northern Rivers distilleries. Browse the market stalls showcasing passionate and innovative local artisans and producers. Catch leading chefs cook off against one another, foodie tips and masterclasses.
There is so much for the whole family to explore. Entry to the festival is just $5 + BF for adults and free for children under 16.
This year Sample Food Festival have introduced Little Foodie Adventures – a series of classes,
and activities for children. Kids Creative Passes are now on sale for entry into a dedicated kids area featuring collaborative art projects, sensory play, active games, take-home crafts and more! This area is great for ages 3 – 12 and open from 9:30am – 3:30pm at the Sample Food Festival.
Let your little ones roll up their sleeves and learn the art of crafting delicious gnocchi from scratch at Sample Food Festival. Under the guidance of local chef Jedd Rifai of the North Byron Hotel, they’ll mix, shape and cook their very own lunch. Plus, each participant will receive a refreshing drink, and delectable dessert to round out their meal.
Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary will also be at the Sample Food Festival this year to entertain us with their amazing wildlife. There will be opportunities to have a photo with a reptile for a gold coin donation. The Rainbow Roos, an experienced local community-based organisation dedicated to creating a safe and positive soccer environment will also be coming to Sample Food Festival 2024 to offer a mix of freestyle open play and organised skills sessions. This activity will be free with your Sample Food Festival entry ticket!
Create Art Studio will also have a face painting stall at the festival.
