Spring Into School Holiday Fun with City of Moreton Bay

Spring has sprung for the City of Moreton Bay’s school holidays program, with museums, galleries and outdoor areas jam-packed with fun.

Parents will be spoilt for choice, with dozens of interactive and imaginative activities to choose from.

Local museums are putting out a spread of activities from making art with sunlight to discovering the birds and reptiles of Moreton Bay.

At galleries, kids can also go through the creative process of making badges that celebrate play, connection, craft, self-expression and much more.

At the library, the whole family can put on their scientist coats and dive deep into the world of nature to learn more about their local environment.

For more hands-on activities, teens can give 3D printing a go, learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons, or set some personal goals by making a wish jar.

All ages are set to enjoy the Fun Factory, while young children will love getting their hands dirty with paint, play dough and more during Messy Play.

Children can ‘phlip’ through the many books on offer, with Council’s ‘Phlipping the Pages’ initiative that brings footy and libraries together. Kids can sign up for a Dolphins library card to get reading.

School holiday goers can also dive deep with ‘Under the Sea’ activities. These include a spectacular live musical show for young children, ‘What’s Below, Let’s Go!,’ to learn about and touch real sea critters.

For those seeking sunshine, City of Moreton Bay’s Active Holidays program is chock full of outdoor activities.

Teens can keep busy learning boxing and skateboarding, while younger children will have an abundance of activities to choose from, including martial arts, basketball, golfing, tennis and wheelchair sports.
