The Curated Plate
The Curated Plate is the Sunshine Coast’s signature food and drink festival, celebrating the region’s extraordinary produce, passionate producers, talented chefs and vibrant culinary culture.
Held across 10 days each winter, the festival brings together a carefully curated program of long lunches, farm-to-table experiences, beachfront feasts, hinterland dining events, chef collaborations and tastings that showcase the very best of the Sunshine Coast.
Highlights for families include:
Picnic on Kings – A vibrant, family‑friendly celebration at Kings Beach Amphitheatre with food, music and a relaxed coastal vibe. Bluey and her little sister Bingo will be returning for another year with their Live Interactive Experience (Sat 25 July, 10am–4pm).
Mooloolaba Seafood Market Day – A lively celebration of the local seafood industry with fresh seafood, entertainment and a bustling market atmosphere (Sun 26 July, 11am–3pm).
Good Soil: Farm. Table. Beast, Mapleton – A one-day community food festival showcasing the Sunshine Coast’s winter harvest. Families can watch the feast being prepared on the open fire, enjoy live music and kid’s entertainment as well as explore the curated lineup of local producers.
Farm Tours at The Falls Farm – Hands‑on, educational sessions where families can learn about sustainable farming and see where local produce begins.
Whether it’s discovering hidden hinterland gems, enjoying fresh seafood by the beach, or experiencing world-class dining under the stars, the festival invites guests to slow down, connect and savour the flavours, landscapes and community spirit that make the Sunshine Coast so special.
