Nothing makes a parent relax into a holiday more than the words ‘kids club’. Yep, these fab havens are the sanity saver for many exhausted mums and dads, giving them a much-needed slice of downtime whilst the kids enjoy a mega dose of activities and fun. But not all kids clubs are equal. Here are four of the best kids clubs in SE QLD.
The best kids clubs in SE QLD
Paradise Resort, Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast
Home to one of the best kids’ clubs we’ve ever experienced, Paradise Resort is the only resort in Australia with a kids’ club available to children as young as six weeks old through to 12 years old. There is also a teen club, and to support children with additional needs, they have introduced a quiet session. It is open daily, and many of the resort’s ‘stay and play’ packages include up to four hours of complimentary fully supervised fun at the kids club when you book directly.
As well as the kids’ club, Paradise Resort has heaps of activities for the whole family. There’s aquatic fun at the epic water park, ice skating, a ninja warrior course, laser tag, an indoor jungle gym, daily entertainment with the Resort Crew, and more.
Junior Eco Rangers, Kingfisher Bay Resort K’gari
Junior Eco Rangers enjoy a range of interactive wildlife experiences run by an experienced team of Rangers. The popular program runs every school holiday in addition to the resort’s regular weekly activities. Activities include beach games, scavenger hunts, bush walks, campfires with stories, songs, marshmallows, stargazing, movie nights, and night walk adventures.
Neptunes, North Star Holiday Resort, Hastings Point, NSW
North Star Holiday Resort is one of those places that you go back to time and time again… and with good reason. The water park is fab for all ages, the cafe is fantastic, there are yoga and wellness activities for adults, and there is an enormous indoor play area called Neptune’s Castle for the kids that is home to a fully supervised free kids club during school holidays and weekends. Designed for children aged three to 12, Neptune’s provides hours of holiday fun, with a three-level spiral slide, ball pit, mirror maze, flying fox, themed activities, and arts and crafts. The holiday programs are family-friendly, educational and loads of fun. And if you book directly, all the scheduled activities are free!
Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort
Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort is perfect for a sneaky family stay-cay. During the school holidays, they put on various fun activities for the kids, such as a treasure hunt, beach flags, kayak relay race, fish feeding, touch footy, cricket, sandcastle competition, and frisbee games. As well as kid-only activities, there is plenty for the family to do together. Sail a catamaran, borrow the kayaks and paddle around the lake (they have a double kayak so the little ones can jump in with an adult), and go stand-up paddle boarding. Or if you prefer two wheels, you can hire bikes from the activity centre. There is also a mini-golf green and a games room.
The newly refurbished pool area is gorgeous and brilliant for kids. There are plenty of inflatables and pool noodles, and the large shallow stepped area is perfect for little ones.
