With roots as far back as 1906, this annual extravaganza is steeped in history. It’s a non-for-profit event run by local volunteers and has attracted tourists with its agricultural displays for more than 116 years. These days, over 120,000 people visit each year to explore the various competitions, demonstrations, live entertainment, rides, and famous fireworks. It’s a great day out for the family as kids can not only enjoy the carnival atmosphere, but also get a taste of country life with equestrian exhibits, woodchopping, animal rides, and close encounters. The GC show has special entertainment each year, and the 2023 line up does not disappoint.
