Looking for where to celebrate New Year’s Eve 2023/24 with the kids? The Gold Coast has plenty of family-friendly NYE 23 events happening for those who like to be tucked up in bed before midnight! And they are all FREE!

KITC Autumn issue out now 2024

Kurrawa Pratten Park, Broadbeach

New Year’s Eve, 8:30pm and midnight

Ring in 2024 with TWO spectacular fireworks at Kurrawa Pratten Park! The first fireworks display will happen at 8.30 pm, with a second one at midnight.

 

New Year’s Eve in Coomera

Coomera Sports Park, New Year’s Eve, 5 pm – 8 pm

Ready to farewell 2023 with a whole lot of free family fun? Coomera will have an evening of live entertainment, delicious food trucks and an awesome fireworks display at 8pm.

 


New Year’s Eve by the Lake, Varsity Lakes

Lake Orr Varsity Lakes, New Year’s Eve, 5.30pm – 8.30pm

Celebrate the last night of 2023 with New Year’s Eve by the Lake! Bring your picnic blanket and enjoy an evening of live music, food trucks, activities for the kids and more! The night will end with a fireworks display over Lake Orr at 8:30pm.

 

Moonlight Magic New Years Eve Party, Broadwater Parklands

New Year’s Eve, 4pm – 9pm

Join in the biggest family-friendly New Years Eve party on the Gold Coast. Broadwater Parklands will come alive with kid’s activities – such as magic shows, face painting, bubble play and glow games. Enjoy live music, stilt walkers, fabulous food trucks and an early fireworks show at 8 pm. Bring your picnic blanket and get your place on the main lawn.

 

New Year’s Eve Party in the Park, Molendinar

Silver Bridle Park Molendinar, New Year’s Eve, 4pm – 7pm

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with a free community event in Silver Bridle Park Molendinar. There will be live entertainment, jumping castle, amusement rides, face painting, bubble blowing, baby animal farm and activities. Grab a bite from food trucks, desert vans and a community barbecue.

 

New Year’s Eve, Surfers Paradise

New Years Eve, 8.30pm and midnight

Ring in 2024 with TWO spectacular fireworks displays at the Esplanade in Surfers Paradise! The first fireworks display will take place at 8pm, with a second one at midnight.

 

Paradise Point New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve, 5pm – 9pm

Entertainment for the evening will feature hot party band Amplify, Aussie rock favourites The Friendly Weapons, acoustic drummers and acrobatic dragons! There will be free face painting for the kids and The Lions Club will host their annual sausage sizzle and glow stick stand.

Bring a camping chair or picnic blanket, or book a table at one of the many restaurants overlooking the water.

The night will conclude with musical fireworks spectacular at 9pm.

 

New Year’s Eve in Coolangatta

New Year’s Eve; 9pm – midnight

Celebrate the end of 2023 in colourful style! There will be two exciting fireworks displays, at 9pm and midnight Queensland time.

Enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants in Coolangatta before or between the displays.

 

Wild Earth Community Carnival, Carrara

New Year’s Eve, 4pm – 8pm

Pack your camp chairs and picnic blankets and settle in for a great evening at the Wild Earth Community Carnival at Emerald Lakes Golf Club.

Entry is FREE at this family friendly event and will feature jumping castles, giant games, live music, entertainment and activities for the kids – and of course fireworks!

There will be food trucks to feed the masses and a bar with soft drinks and water for the kids.  Fireworks are scheduled at 7:30pm!
