School holidays sorted at Ashmore Palms!

After a track record of Queensland’s last-minute lockdowns and border closures during school holidays, the team at Ashmore Palms is excited to have holidaymakers back on the Gold Coast!

Tanya Illich-Forster, Sales and Marketing Manager at Ashmore Palms said, “We are extremely excited to have families and groups back at Ashmore Palms for the school holidays. We have a load of free activities on offer and, fingers crossed, they can all go ahead as planned.”

“The weather is glorious and things are finally going smoothly, after so much uncertainty surrounding previous school holidays over the past 18 months.”

“We have Queensland sporting groups staying at Ashmore Palms who are excited to have their events going ahead at the Carrara sporting precinct. South East Queenslanders have also been making last minute bookings for stays of 2-3 nights, which has been a wonderful boost to our occupancy levels which are currently closer to 70%,” Tanya added.

School holiday activities for guests include a unique Morning Tea with the Macaws on Thursday mornings, where guests have the opportunity to take photographs with a tame macaw, swim with 2 of the Gold Coast Mermaids and enjoy a relaxed morning tea in the lagoon area (8am to 9.20am).

During the school holidays, the family friendly resort also offers kids’ art and craft, face painting, balloon modelling workshops, family footy fever, kids’ water play games, a glow disco, indoor laser tag, movie nights and kids’ gladiator games.

All the activities are free for holiday guests, making for an affordable family holiday.

“Ashmore Palms is our family business. My family and our team are passionate about making the park a fun and affordable place to stay and to holiday,” said Tanya. “This year marks 35 years of Ashmore Palms being a family owned and operated Gold Coast business.”

Set on almost 15 acres with lush gardens, no lifts and plenty of room to socially distance, Ashmore Palms is a very appealing choice to holidaymakers and groups during the Covid era.

Each cabin has its own bathroom, full cooking facilities and air-conditioning. Other facilities at the holiday village include a kids’ mushroom lagoon (heated), waterfall lagoon, 2 playgrounds, barbecue areas, activity centre, bird aviaries, garden walkways, 7-day reception, general store, guest laundries and full-size tennis court.

Ashmore Palms is part of the Gold Coast “Play Money Rewards” program being run by Destination Gold Coast, where Gold Coasters can purchase a $100.00 accommodation voucher to redeem at Ashmore Palms for only $50.00.
