The Sunshine Coast girls’ shaving cream going viral right now

This pina colada-scented girls’ shaving cream, launched on the Sunshine Coast, is making waves in bathrooms around Australia.

Blessd founder, Sunshine Coast mum of two and part-time radio host on 91.1 HotFM, Jade Harrison, was “shocked” when her new range of women’s shaving cream almost sold out within days of launching.

The brand released its first women’s shaving cream and luxury razors in July, sparking an unexpected buying frenzy among customers nationwide.

“The response was overwhelming,” Jade says. “I made Blessd shaving cream for queens because I was so sick of using my husband’s shaving cream and smelling like a man afterwards. I couldn’t believe how hard it was to find one made for women.”

She points out that while there are hundreds of men’s shaving creams on the market in Australia, women’s options remain few and far between — even though women often shave more body parts, more often.

“Until now, we’ve been making do with whatever’s in the shower — rusty disposable razors, old bars of soap, sticky gels, conditioner, or the boyfriend’s shaving cream,” she says. “It’s like women’s shaving is stuck in the nineties.”

Blessd’s offering is designed to be as practical as it is indulgent, with a tropical scent that’s been winning fans of all ages. “We’ve had mums come back to buy more because their daughters keep pinching it,” Jade laughs.

What started as a side-hustle is quickly blossoming into a booming business, but Jade won’t be hanging up the radio mic any time soon.

“Every busy mum should have something that makes life a little easier. For me, this was about making a daily task quick and simple, and if it smells like pina coladas, even better.”
