Guinness World Records 2024 is out now, and the new records are mind-blowing!
This year’s edition compiles the very best of the thousands of new records approved over the past year.
The theme of Guinness World Records 2024 is the Blue Planet. Go on an aquatic odyssey from snowy mountaintops to the bottom of the ocean. Encounter the most bizarre and deadly sea creatures, swim through the largest coral reefs and kelp forests and meet the ocean’s most fearless pioneers. You’ll also find plenty of new and classic records to explore once you’re back on dry land, with topics as diverse as rollercoasters, robots, movie props and manga, music, TV and gaming.
Everyday Australians continue to inspire, and this year the book includes:
- Shannen Jones for the Farthest arrow shot using feet (18.27m)
- Olivia Vivian for the Most consecutive flying bar jumps (28)
- Anthony Kelly for the Tallest stack of hats worn at once (107.5cm)
- Celeste Dixon for the Most backward somersault burpees in 30 seconds (female) (8) and Most aerial silk front saltos in one minute (25)
- Craig Lewis for the Most somersaults in a skydive (32)
- Kurt Fearnley & Marcel Hug for the Most men’s wheelchair New York Marathon wins (5)
