There are plenty of egg-citing activities for kids of all ages this Easter school holiday.

Here are our favourite 2021 Easter school holiday activities on the Sunshine Coast and surrounding region.

Discover & Explore at the Ginger Factory

The Ginger Factory

There’s so much to Discover & Explore at The Ginger Factory this Easter school holidays! Join the Gruffalo Spotters Club on your next visit to receive your Gruffalo Spotters Card – collect all five Gruffalo animals to WIN a Gruffalo Activity Booklet!

These school holidays there will also be Easter colouring activities, DIY Gingerbread Men decorating kits available from the Ice Creamery and everyone’s favourite rides and tours: The Overboard Boat Ride, Moreton the Train, Live Bee Shows, Factory Tours and so much more!

Easter Egg Hunt at Kawana Shoppingworld

It’s officially time for the egg hunt – let’s hop to it!

The Easter Egg Hunt is available to be played during Centre trading hours from now to 4 April. Simply follow the instructions and each child will receive a craft pack from The Good Place. All funds raised donated to Headspace Maroochydore.

 

Easter Holiday Express Trains
2 to 5 April
Historic Gympie Station, Gympie

Hop on board the Mary Valley Rattler for special Easter departures over the weekend, from Good Friday to Easter Monday!

Enjoy an egg hunt in Amamoor and Steam Man Adventures at the Rattler! Make sure you arrive early and meet the drivers before you hop aboard and make your way out to Amamoor.

Discover the romance of the railway through the scenic Mary Valley. Book your table at the popular Rusty Rails Cafe for breakfast or lunch or buy take away treats to enjoy on board.

 

Junior Eco Rangers Easter School Holiday Program

Kingfisher Bay Resorts popular Junior Eco Rangers program runs every school holidays in addition to the resort’s regular weekly What’s On Guide activities. This year’s Easter School Holiday Program is filled with outdoor activities. Free Holiday Fun at Noosa Civic
6 to 9 April 2021
Noosa Civic Shopping Centre, Noosaville

Miss Donna will amaze and entertain you these school holidays.
Watch as she creates wonderful balloon twisting designs for you. Known for spreading colour and joy, Miss Donna will be in centre from 10am to 12pm daily.

And, multi award-winning magician Nickleby will be magically appearing in centre from 1pm-3pm daily performing roving magic. Witness impossible things happen right in front of your eyes. He might turn your $5 note into $100, make jewellery vanish and reappear from an impossible location or blow your mind with card tricks & impossible illusions!

Galaxy-themed fun at Sunshine Plaza!

Climb aboard the imaginary rocketship and blast off into a world of fun at Sunshine Plaza. Entertain your aspiring scientists these school holidays with some galaxy-themed activities.

STEMpunks will be hosting immersive Minecraft Space Workshops from Tuesday 6 – Saturday 10 April.And from Tuesday 13 – Saturday 17 April, drop into the Street Science Lab for a sensory galaxy slime experiment. Bookings are essential, and spaces are limited.All workshops are suitable for children aged 5+.

Mental Health & Wellbeing Holiday Workshops
12 to 15 April

The Resilience Revolution is offering several mental health and wellbeing workshops this easter school holidays.
The Taming Tricky Feelings workshop is a practical workshop for all children 5-7 years.
Their Taking Control of Anxiety workshop is an empowering workshop for all children 8-13 years. Workshops are followed by a free 30 minute parent information session.

Wheely Fun Camps makes riding your bike fun!

Riding your bike with Australian Cycling Academy is positive and nurturing, in a safe traffic-free environment for your little one. It’s a great environment for your child to start their riding journey and learn a life skill they’ll be able to pass down to their children one day.

Your cycling superstar will love playing cycling-themed games and races which will focus and teach road safety, promote physical health, hand eye coordination and give children the confidence and encouragement to get out there and start riding!

Iceworld School Holiday Public Sessions
5 to 16 April

Weekdays during the Easter school holidays, Iceworld will have two public session times during the week. Online booking are essential due to demand and restricted numbers.

The Owl and the Pussycat
13 April
Venue 114, Bokarina

An intimate and charming opera for families will take a magical journey to Venue 114 at Bokarina these Easter school holidays for two enchanting performances on at 10am and 1pm on Tuesday 13 April.

Based on Edward Lear’s beloved poem and presented by Little Match Productions, The Owl and the Pussycat is designed for children aged four to 10 years old and explores themes of love, adventure, harmony and acceptance.

Sense Rugby
13 to 15 April
Sunshine Beach Dolphins Rugby Union Club

Does your child need help to be part of a team or a group? Sense Rugby is a rugby based Occupational Therapy program that uses modified rugby drills to help kids:
– Process sensory information
– Focus on activities
– Work on their coordination
– Manage their emotions
– Have fun with other kids!

This is a group program for children aged 7- 11 years. This particular group will be capped at 8 children, and there will be 3 therapists running the 2- hour program, enabling lots of direct support and input for your child.
