Family friendly NYE celebrations on the Sunshine Coast 2023

Looking for a way to celebrate New Year’s Eve, 23/24, WITH the kids? There’s no need to battle bedtime as there are plenty of family-friendly NYE celebrations on the Sunshine Coast for 23/24.

These Sunshine Coast NYE events are where little ones can ring in the new year with a bang before getting them (and you!) home to bed before midnight.
So grab your picnic blanket and your kid-sized party hats as we explore the best places to celebrate New Year’s Eve with kids 23/24.

Mooloolaba Beach, New Year’s Eve 23/24

From 5 pm on Mooloolaba Esplanade, you’ll find family activities, live musicians, food and market stalls. On the beach, there will be a free bungee trampoline for those under 18 and a youth stage with live DJs. If you have teens, rest assured the wonderful Red Frogs will patrol this space – the global young adults support network that provides a positive peer presence in alcohol-fuelled environments.

This is a fully fenced and secure patrolled event to ensure everyone has a great, safe and enjoyable evening. It is a drug, glass and alcohol-free event.
Firework displays are at 8:30 pm and midnight.

Kings Beach, Caloundra NYE 23/24 celebrations for families

Bring the whole family along for the Caloundra New Year’s Eve celebrations. The fun starts at 4 pm, where you can enjoy live music at the Kings Beach Amphitheatre. Kids will love the carnival rides (with a fee), face-painting and a family-friendly movie screening! You’re welcome to bring your own picnic dinner or fill up on the mouthwatering street food available.

For those who don’t want to stay up till midnight, good news! The fireworks display at this event will kick off at 9:30 pm to wrap up the evening.

Coolum NYE 23/24 family fireworks

Another event for the early birds, Sunshine Coast Council will present a fireworks display at 8.30 pm in Tickle Park, Coolum.

Gympie Terrace, Noosaville

The northern end of the Sunshine Coast doesn’t miss out on the early-bird celebrations either.

Head to Gympie Terrace, Noosaville (near the Boathouse) for a picnic dinner on the foreshore and to see some fireworks!

Fireworks in Noosa will begin at 10 pm.

 

Aussie World New Year Party

For a next-level family-friendly New Year’s Eve on the Sunshine Coast, Aussie World is holding an epic NYE party for all ages from 4 pm to 9 pm on NYE 23/24.

There will be unlimited rides, food stations, live music, a Beach Zone with a live DJ, a candy hut, roaming entertainment, PLUS so much more!

Celebrate New Years Eve at Terella Brewing with their New Year’s Eve Foam Party! There will be water slides, a DJ, live music and food trucks.

Novotel Sunshine Coast New Year’s Eve Fiesta
