‘Tis the season for twinkling lights and festive fun! Each year, the Sunshine Coast transforms into a magical wonderland of Christmas lights – and 2024 is no exception.
From spectacular trees decorated with shimmering ornaments to houses lit up with dazzling displays, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Sunshine Coast Council will have trees and lights set up across the Sunshine Coast. We have listed all their locations below.
We have also listed all the residential houses on the Sunshine Coast with Christmas lights, so you can head out with the kids for a fun evening of lights and festivities… all for free!

Sunshine Coast Council Christmas Tree Locations
Using an epic 3km of LED Christmas lights, trees across the Sunshine Coast are sparkling to celebrate the festive season. This year, thanks to Sunshine Coast Council, 25 trees will brighten local communities with twinkling lights and decorations with a festive trail of Christmas lights.
Pop on some Christmas tunes and take an evening walk or drive and check out some of the trees in the region, including Caloundra, Buderim, Coolum, Alexandra Headland, Maleny, Kenilworth and Nambour.
No matter where you live on the Coast, there is sure to be a wonderfully decorated Christmas tree in a town near you!
