Families on the Sunshine Coast can look forward to an active and meaningful school holiday option this April, with ADAPT partnering with SunnyKids to deliver a series of affordable, high-quality clinics designed to keep kids moving, learning and connected.
The SunnyKids ADAPT with Moses Mbye School Holiday Clinics, running across two locations, aim to provide more than just a day of sport. The program blends physical activity with wellbeing and personal development, creating a safe and supportive environment where children can build confidence, develop healthy habits and strengthen social connections.
Open to boys and girls aged 10–16 with a rugby league or general sporting interest, the clinics are priced at just $25 per participant — a conscious effort to ensure accessibility for local families. Organisers say keeping costs low is central to their mission, allowing more children to benefit from structured, positive holiday experiences.
What to expect at the SunnyKids ADAPT with Moses Mbye School Holiday Clinics
The school holiday clinics will be held on April 7–8 at Noosa Pirates JRLC and April 14–15 at Beerwah Bulldogs JRLC, running from 8:30am to 2:30pm each day.
Each day follows a thoughtfully designed schedule that balances movement, learning and downtime. After check-in, participants take part in multiple on-field sessions focused on skills and games, alongside indoor team-building activities centred on the theme of “creating better teammates.”
A dedicated wellbeing module, delivered by SunnyKids, adds another layer to the experience — supporting children to explore topics like resilience, healthy choices and positive behaviours. This is complemented by a lunch break that includes discussion around nutrition and wellbeing, reinforcing the program’s holistic approach.
The partnership between ADAPT and SunnyKids reflects a shared focus on supporting young people both physically and emotionally. While ADAPT brings sporting expertise and structure, SunnyKids contributes its experience in child wellbeing and community support, creating a program that goes beyond traditional holiday clinics.
At its core, the initiative is about helping kids thrive — not just on the field, but in how they interact with others and see themselves. The program is underpinned by three key values: honesty, compassion and ambition. These are woven throughout the day, encouraging participants to act with integrity, show respect and strive for personal growth.
Importantly for parents, the school holiday clinics also offer peace of mind during the busy holiday period. With a full-day structure and experienced facilitators, families can feel confident their children are in a safe, positive environment while they work, run errands or simply take a breather.
As school holidays approach, programs like this highlight the growing demand for experiences that combine fun with purpose.
With limited spots and strong community interest expected, early registration is encouraged here.
