With almost three million people expected to pass through Brisbane Airport this holiday season, it’s safe to say many will plan to arrive early to beat the crowds. Brisbane Airport is transforming its Domestic Terminal into a Christmas Wonderland – this December for those killing time with restless kids before their flight.
Whether you’re excitedly waiting to see loved ones or vacationing interstate, Brisbane Airport Christmas Lounge will offer a jam-packed program of holiday activities for both the kids and parents, including:
- Christmas movies (1 – 23 Dec): Pull up a comfy chair and catch your favourite festive flick playing throughout the day, including Home Alone, Elf, The Santa Clause and The Grinch who Stole Christmas;
- Bikkie Decorating (18, 21 Dec): Kids can unleash their inner artist and decorate a Christmas cookie to give to a loved one or devour on the flight
- Roving entertainers including Santa and his elves, and Rudolph;
- Christmas Carollers (13 – 15 Dec) spreading festive cheer throughout the terminal;
- The ultimate holiday photo booth (16, 17 and 20, 21 Dec): take your family Christmas photo and receive a full-colour printout to take home;
- Gift Bags: (13 – 23 December) domestic terminal retailers will be giving away exclusive gift bags for those parents finishing last-minute Christmas shopping.
