Brisbane parents look no further. The perfect last-minute indoor playground can be found in Jindalee. This playground is just what the little ones need when the weather is not on our side. Jindalee Jungle is a little slice of fun, perfect for babies, toddlers, and kids under 10. I recently visited with my one-year-old son, and we were not disappointed. There was something for everyone, and unlike other indoor playground we’ve been to, it was super clean. Best of all, children under 1 and adults get free entry, and everyone in between is only $12 per visit.
Parking was super easy as the centre is located in the local shopping centre and has plenty of spaces just out the front. I didn’t bring the pram, but if I had, it would have been a smooth transition. On arrival, I was immediately relieved to see the play area was fenced off, and there were hardly any guests, making it the perfect place to let my little monster run wild.
Upon entering the toddler play area, my one-year-old squealed with delight. He spotted one of the three huge ball pits and started bucking with excitement. The toddler area also had a multi-level jungle gym with lots of colourful bits and bobs, including soft play blocks.
It wasn’t long before Bub spotted an inflated jumping platform nearby, which he aggressively crawled towards. It was closed off with more fencing and soft mats around, making it nice and safe. This was just what the little one needed to burn off that excess energy.
Next, we discovered the baby play area, which had a foam ball pit, multiple tunnels, sensory boards, cog toys along the walls, and a huge bean bag in the corner. Bub and his toddler friend played happily amongst themselves as us adults enjoyed a coffee from the cafe. They also had hot and cold food, including some cakes and pastries on display. Across from the kitchen was a cafeteria and an event room, which would be great for birthdays and family events.
The last area we noticed was a carpeted section with train sets, doll houses, and wooden toys. There was something to keep every little mind active. We only lasted an hour, which was record time for my bub to wrap up. He was so exhausted from all the action and didn’t last long before passing out on the car ride home.
It’s safe to say we will be returning to Jindalee Jungle for more easy, energy-expending fun. The equipment caters to little ones of all ages, and there are plenty of yummy treats for adults, too. If you’re a Brisbane local, it’s definitely worth a visit – just don’t forget socks!
