Arts and creative activities for kids in Brisbane

Perfect for curious minds, Junior Curators – Mysterious Realms at Ipswich Art Gallery is a must-do for kids in Brisbane this summer. This exhibition disrupts traditional curation with the fresh perspectives of young curators. Also in the realms of the imagination, Fairy Tales at QAGOMA takes visitors on a fascinating journey into a fairy-tale world where folklore, enchantment and tales of caution intertwine with art, design and film. This incredible exhibition highlights how the fairy tales that have entertained us for centuries are explored through art and culture. Both are open daily throughout the summer.

For the brick-heads in the family, head to Jurassic World by Brickman® at Queensland Museum for an immersive adventure like no other. This is Australia’s largest LEGO® brick exhibition, where Ryan ‘Brickman’ McNaught re-imagines Jurassic World, the blockbuster franchise from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.

If you want to take in a show, Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli are coming back to Brisbane for a return season of Bluey’s Big Play after performing all over North America! This is Bluey’s Big Play, For Real Life, on stage from December 30 to January 20 at the Playhouse, QPAC.
