World Cup fever is hitting South Bank — and it’s completely free. Here’s everything Brisbane families need to know about where to watch the World Cup games on the big screen.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is officially coming to a big screen near you, Brisbane! The city is setting up a free live site at South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt, giving families the chance to watch World Cup games together in one of Brisbane’s most loved outdoor spaces. Think food trucks, big screens, riverside vibes, and the Socceroos — what more could you want?

Watch the World Cup on the big screen at South Bank: What to expect

The South Bank Cultural Forecourt will transform into Brisbane’s official fan zone from Sunday 14 June, with free entry for everyone. The live site will screen all three Socceroos matches, plus additional World Cup games throughout each match day so you can really soak up the atmosphere.

Expect food trucks, a family-friendly crowd, and big-screen action in the open air — it’s basically the ultimate Brisbane day out with a World Cup backdrop.

Entry is free, but fans are encouraged to register their interest at visit.brisbane.qld.au to help with crowd planning. Registration doesn’t guarantee entry, so arriving early is a good move — especially for the Socceroos matches.
