A brand-new, purpose-built centre located in the Ipswich area, developed over the past three years but never opened, has been acquired by leading early childhood educator Harmony Early Education.
Originally developed by another early education provider, the 2,595-square-metre site is situated in a high-density catchment of families with children under five, making it an excellent addition to Harmony’s expanding portfolio.
Located at 77 Botany Drive, directly across the road from Ripley Valley State School, the centre is set to open its doors in mid-January 2025.
Harmony Managing Director Gabrielle Giufre says the centre has a unique backstory, and while it is brand new, it has been a long-awaited addition for local families.
“We’ve been growing alongside the needs of families, and this acquisition is a perfect example of how Harmony is in tune with what areas are growing and what families are looking for,” says Ms Giufre.
“The Ripley location allows us to bring the Harmony difference to a community where demand is outpacing supply, and we’re looking forward to welcoming families who have been eagerly waiting for this centre to become available.
“Our expansion strategy has focused on blending greenfield developments and acquisitions, which means we’ve been able to remain agile in high-growth areas.”
New Ripley Early Learning Centre meets the needs of growing population
Data from the Queensland Government shows that Ipswich’s population is growing at twice the rate as the rest of the state, with Ripley expected to accommodate around 120,000 residents by 2031.
The Ripley centre will cater for up to 161 children aged from birth to five years and operate from 6.30 am to 6.30 pm and includes eight dedicated learning studios, an atelier and spacious outdoor playscapes suitable for all ages.
Harmony’s approach to early learning and development, drawn from contemporary educational and human research, offers a value-based early learning environment where children can develop into strong, confident, happy and health individuals.
Harmony Early Education currently operates 19 early learning centres across Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales with another site in development at Burleigh Heads. Inspiring beautiful minds with beautiful environments, Harmony’s foundation is built on ensuring every child receives the best care and education possible in a safe, calm, fun and inclusive learning setting.
