Big 4 Gold Coast Holiday Park has now added a sustainable playground to make guests’ holidays even more playful.
Designed by Brisbane-based playground designers Urban Play, the sustainable playground features something for everyone, even the environment. Made from recycled materials, such as ocean waste, plastics and textiles, with low carbon aluminium, which is produced by renewable energy such as water, wind and solar.
This sustainable playground is a great space for children of all ages to develop their motor and sensory skills, build strength, cardio, and coordination, and learn how to socialise with other children and support each other.
A 30m long Double Cableway will whizz kids through the air whilst taking in the view of the surrounding park. A Double Play Tower, Climbing Bloqx, Double Bay Swing and more will engage children of all ages and abilities in play for hours.
The low-carbon sustainable playground uses equipment from KOMPAN’s innovative GreenLine range, which uses recycled post-consumer waste such as plastic bags, food packaging waste and recycled maritime waste such as fishing nets from the ocean in its manufacturing.
The park also features sandstone blocks providing a space for parents and children to relax and rest while they watch a game of basketball, pooches in the dog park or the fun in the playground. The shaded and semi-fenced playground combined with the bush-feel landscape design, will entice families to pack a picnic and spend the day at the playground.

All this is on top of their monster, heated waterpark and pool, jumping pillow, and a range of outdoor games. There is so much to keep the kids entertained for hours. And don’t forget to bring the pooch. Your furbaby can run around and play in the off-leash dog area right next to the playground while the kids play.
