Ready your esky because the Scenic Rim Farm Gate Trail is Sunday, July 28, and there are plenty of kid-friendly stops (and dog-friendly ones!) for the whole family to enjoy!


The Scenic Rim Farm Gate Trail is the much loved and highly anticipated day when the farmers, growers, producers, winemakers, brewers, distillers and flavour-makers across the famous region open their gates to celebrate where food comes from. It’s an opportunity to learn about farming from the farmers and leave with full stomachs and a love for the Scenic Rim region, its produce and its people.

At just over an hour from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast – it’s the perfect day trip, or weekend away!


Here are the family-friendly farm gates open on Sunday July 28 for the Scenic Rim Farm Gate Trail:


Summer Land Camels

Visit Australia’s largest Camel Dairy for an authentic paddock-to-plate experience. Free entry, camel feeding and petting, cafe, farm shop, farm tour and taste, camel rides, Cameleer experience and more. Ellia’s Garden

Ellia’s Garden is a market garden set in the beautiful Scenic Rim at the base of the Great Dividing Range, with access to mountaintop views straight out to Cunninghams Gap, Mount Castle and Mount Fraser, to name a few. The market garden offers a wide range of seasonal fruit and vegetables which you can purchase.

Naughty Little Kids

Naughty Little Kids goat dairy makes cheese and gelati using the milk from their herd of goats. All products are gluten, egg, nut, soy, coconut, & gelatine-free. Bring an esky and ice brick. Attention-seeking goats will be looking for pats, and you can purchase a bottle to feed them.

Peak Organics

For somewhere to stop and picnic during the Farm Gate Trail, pop into Peak Organics. Their large green space is ideal, and there are organic teas, jams and seeds. Some fresh produce can be picked. FUN FACT: Peak Organics is operated solely by volunteers and is fully certified by Australian Demeter Biodynamics (Biodynamics combines the practices of organic farming with a strong focus on soil vitality through a holistic approach).

Olive View Estate Scenic Rim
