Educational school holiday activities on the Gold Coast

There’s no need for the kids to take a brain break these Easter school holidays! Junior Engineers is offering a jam-packed Easter school holiday program of STEM activities. Their program includes a huge range of coding, robotics and creative movie-making classes. There are more than 260 two or three day holiday camps scheduled at 60 schools and community centres across the country, and a heap of online options too!

Or to keep those creative brains ticking, head into HOTA to take in Tropic Arcadia before it closes. In this exhibition, Tongan-Polynesian artist Samuel Tupou has created a curious, pop-up island for you to explore. Discover his colourful patterns inspired by tapa (bark cloth) designs set amongst a surreal, tropical landscape that is part memory, part imagination, part arcade game.

If the kids love to cook, the Grill’d kids burger masterclasses are a must-do. Kids can go from burger lovers to lil super chefs this school holiday as Australia’s favourite home-grown burger brand Grill’d is serving up hands-on kids burger masterclasses this April school holidays.

Gold Coast school holiday activities to get kids moving

Have the kids got energy to burn? Head into Bounce Inc these school holidays for wall-to-wall fun! From their After Dark end-of-term celebration on 31st March to the Awesome4some BOUNCE bundle, gather your tribe and get your bounce on this Easter!

For working parents, and for kids that want to experience adventure, Gold Coast Recreation Precinct is running it’s fabulous school holiday program this Easter. But this is no ordinary vacation care program! Kids get to try their hands at climbing high ropes, abseiling from heights, learning circus skills, or captaining canoes.

Or why not use the school holidays to brush up on those swim skills? Superfish Swim School is offering school holiday learn to swim programs for 1 or 2 weeks over the Easter School Holidays. Kids can take part in intensive 1:1 lessons, every day for 4 days in a row, in their heated indoor pools.

Gold Coast school holiday activities for the whole family

Nothing says Easter more than lollies! And there is plenty of sweet as Easter egg-citement happening at Paradise Centre. With free entertainment, tasty giveaways, bunnies and birds, Easter is all wrapped up as one Sweet As holiday!

Or why not head into The Strand to experience their Easter wonderland! There will be craft and and opportunities to meet the Easter Bunny!

Or simply take the time to enjoy the gorgeous city, with a stroll along the foreshore at Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets. Enjoy home-made desserts, see local artisans at work, discover hand-made fashion and accessories. It’s a gorgeous morning out with the kids.

And lastly, for some simple, genuine laugh-out-loud entertainment, head into Paradise Resort this school holiday for the ice skating show Parad-Ice! This variety show features spectacular ice skating that will dazzle with acrobatics, spins, and clown antics. It’s fun for the whole family!
