There will be entertainment, food and community stalls, and a unique rainforest walk with observation trail. Entry price is $10, children under 12 years old are free. All net proceeds go to good causes, with Sunshine Butterflies, a local disability support group, as the main beneficiary.
Enjoy live music and entertainment

From award-winning musicians to circus stunts, comedy, teen prodigies, and sword swallowing, this year will see even more incredible entertainment, jaw-dropping tricks, daring world record attempts and more. There will be plenty for the kids at the Kids’ Creative Arts spaces including face painting, hula hooping, tie-dye workshops, KidzArt and more!
For those that want to make a week of it and want to combine a love for music with the great outdoors, the Gympie Music Muster is on next week. This event is at the Amamoor State Forest, near Gympie.
Explore your creative side
Talking of creative workshops, does your little one fancy turning their creativity to pottery? This Sunday, August 21 is the first of a series of three kids beginner ceramics workshops. Held at ArtWorkshops in Montville, kids will be guided through the basic steps. They’ll create hand-thrown pieces with the help of an expert ceramicist. They will learn about the process of wheel throwing and how to make their own unique noodle bowl, cups, lidded containers and more. You never know, it could just uncover a love for ceramics!
Perfect for the babes and toddlers, Sunshine Coast Libraries will be holding a special storytime session in Landsborough on Tuesday, August 23. There will be games, stories and lots of fun. Bring a hat, morning tea, lots of friends and a blanket to sit on.
