Kevin Asmus Park, Buddina

The Sunshine Coast’s Kevin Asmus Park has a fabulous learn-to-ride track that is ideal for beginner bike, trike or scooter riders. The park encourages imaginative play by integrating a sizeable educational bike track. Here kids can engage with various play elements such as a café, shop, and pretend petrol pump. The track is enhanced with small-scale street signs, roundabouts, and painted road markings. Riding along the paths, children can also stop at the swings, pirate ship and half basketball court.

Kevin Asmus Park has picnic tables, a drinking fountain and a shelter. Toilets can be found at the nearby community centre or library.

 

Skippy Park, Landsborough

Skippy Park is ideal for kids to gain confidence on two wheels. The purpose-built cycle circuit is excellent for both beginners and experienced cyclists. It also encircles a fab playground. Skippy Park has picnic tables, a drinking fountain, toilets and barbecues.

Fun fact: the park is named after the kangaroos that regularly visit there!

Pedal Park, Baringa

Pedal Park, in the new city of Aura, Sunshine Coast, features a bike-themed play area encircled by a bike path that includes a tunnel, speed bumps, traffic signs, and traffic lights. This park is suitable for people of all ages and includes amenities such as picnic shelters, barbecue grills, a kickabout area, a half-court basketball court, and public restrooms.

Grahame Stewart Park, Currimundi, Sunshine Coast

Grahame Stewart Park has a very impressive learn-to-ride track, complete with miniature street signs, crossings, weave poles, painted road lines and a bridge. This epic education bike and scooter track is suitable for beginners as well as older kids looking to boost their riding confidence.

After you are done riding, stay for a picnic and enjoy the two playgrounds, flying fox, open grassed area and the Vegie Garden Story Seat. It also has picnic tables, barbecues, a drinking fountain and a separate dog off-leash area (unfenced).

Little Mountain Common Park, Little Mountain

The educational bike track at Little Mountain Common Park is the perfect place for kids to learn to ride a bike. It offers a fun and winding adventure amongst the shade of large trees. Designed for beginners and children looking to gain confidence on two wheels, it has miniature street signs, bumps, roundabouts and painted road lines.

Stay a little longer and enjoy the multiple playgrounds with a flying fox, swings, castle and drawbridge. There is also a cricket oval, half basketball court, exercise equipment, skate park and a large fenced off-leash dog park. Amenities available include picnic tables, a drinking fountain, barbecues and toilets.
