How you can help vulnerable kids shine brighter in 2026

While many of us are wrapping presents and planning summer holidays, thousands of vulnerable kids in Queensland are facing a very different reality. Each day, around 500 domestic and family violence incidents are reported across the state, leaving too many kids without safety, stability, or hope for the future.

SunnyKids is determined to make 2026 a brighter future for vulnerable kids and families in need through its annual Sponsor a Child program.

“Sponsoring a child for one year through SunnyKids will help the child receive the critical support they need to thrive. Sponsorship helps to ensure children have the right school uniform, school supplies, essential medical and psychological care,” says SunnyKids CEO Kathleen Hope.

A 12-month sponsorship gives SunnyKids the certainty to plan ahead and tailor care for each child’s unique needs.

“We need your help to continue our important work and to expand our services so that we can provide much-needed support to families and children in our community.”

“Your generosity can have a far-reaching impact on the children in families we support. Together with SunnyKids, you can help create a future where all people impacted by domestic violence receive the support they need.”
