Spartan is known worldwide as the ultimate obstacle racing experience — think crawling under nets, splashing through creeks, scaling walls and running through open paddocks. For the adults, there are three epic challenges to choose from: the Sprint (5km, 20 obstacles), the Super (10km, 25 obstacles) or the mighty Beast (21km, 30 obstacles). Each course is challenging, no doubt, but also an incredible way to build resilience, fitness and mental grit. And nothing beats the roar of the crowd when you cross that finish line.

But here’s the best part: Spartan isn’t just for grown-ups. The Spartan Kids Race is a highlight of the weekend, giving children aged 4 to 14 their very own adventure. The course spans 1–3km and packs in 10 to 20 obstacles designed just for younger bodies — plenty of climbing, crawling and sliding, with an average finish time of about half an hour. There are open categories for ages 4 to 14, plus competitive races for ages 9 to 11 and 12 to 14.
It’s not just a race, it’s a chance for kids to discover what they’re capable of. They’ll get sweaty, they’ll laugh, and they’ll surprise themselves with just how strong and determined they can be.
