As the days get colder, the indoor play centre is a sanity saver for many families. Here are a few of the best indoor play centres on the Sunshine Coast.

These are great locations for the kids to burn off some energy. Perfect for rainy days and when it’s too chilly to be outside.

Kids World Adventure Playland and Cafe

Do your kids love to jump, climb and play? Kids World Adventure Playland is always a favourite for fun-filled adventure! The play area features a huge inflatable slide, cannon ball battle zone and a three-storey climbing structure. There is also a designated under 5s area for Little Ones. Don’t forget your socks!

Rush Adventureland is the Sunshine Coast’s largest indoor adventure centre.

Kids will be running, climbing and sliding their way around a huge multi-level soft-play indoor playground. The older ones can fly around the room on the Rush Coaster, enjoy the thrills and challenges of the ninja and high ropes courses, climbing walls as well as Hyper Bumper Cars and a Virtual Reality Simulator.

Watch out for the outdoor Story Seat Book-ventures too, where you can join the library for a morning of stories, games and fun at one of its fabulous Story Seats. These are located in local parks across the Sunshine Coast.

Held every Tuesday, Mums & Bubs Playtime at Noosa Civic is the perfect opportunity to catch up with other like-minded mums and caregivers. Enjoy a complimentary coffee from one of the cafes, while your Little Ones socialises and plays.

Pew! Pew, pew! Grab a phaser and get set for some action-packed laser-guided fun! In Laser Tag, players wear a computerised vest and ‘tag’ opponents in an exciting arena. There are a variety of different game styles. This high-tech sport will keep the most active of kids busy! There are also video and arcade games available to escape to between battles.

A world of arcade fun all under one roof. Race with Super Mario, shoot basketballs to win prizes, play air hockey, embark on a Jurassic Park adventure and more. It’s bright, noisy and kids love it! Located at Kawana Shoppingworld and Caloundra.

Timezone at Sunshine Plaza is wall-to-wall fun! Ten pin bowling, bumper cars, laser tag, arcade games – you name it, it’s there! A great place for a couple of hours of arcade madness.

Stay for a bite to eat at one of the many eateries along the Riverwalk at Sunshine Plaza.

Holey Moley

Mini-golf meets cocktail bar? Yes indeed! Though it pulls an adult crowd at night, during the day Holey Moley is a great place to take the kids. Forget windmills and castles, instead putt your way through shark-infested waters and pop culture references that will keep both kids and parents entertained. If that’s not enough, Strike Bowling is right next door, and it does an awesome birthday party too!

Sunshine Plaza

Since the extensive refurbishment, Sunshine Plaza has somewhere for everyone to play! For the littlest ones there is a nautical-themed indoor playground indoors and an undercover treehouse play space along the Riverwalk. Both within easy reach of great coffee. For the older (and very brave) ones, Next Level Adventure Park course is right outside. There are also three well-equipped parents’ rooms and an outdoor playground for dry days.

The Big Boing

This indoor trampoline centre is a hugely popular spot for kids of all ages. The main area for six to 10 year olds is wall-to-wall bouncing heaven, with 40 interconnecting trampolines, a huge air bag to land in, slam dunking basketball and soccer. For kids taller than 140cm there is a separate Ninja Warrior Course (bring sports shoes for this activity). For the littler ones there is a dedicated toddlers’ area with foam pit for those under 110cm and another soft play area for those under 140cm tall. Don’t forget your grip socks, or you can buy them there.
