Looking for a truly unique education experience for your school? Sea Life Sunshine Coast has introduced a range of interactive and educational programs exclusively for schools.
This splash-tastic classroom provides students with the exciting opportunity to make genuine connections between classroom and real-life experiences, where students can learn more about the wider world in which they live.
There are three programs available. Oceantots is designed for early learners up to four years old, providing opportunities for imaginative play, hands-on interactive experiences and discovery. Oceankids is designed for primary learners, meeting outcomes and content of the Australian Curriculum through worksheets and exploration. And Oceanteens, also aligned to the Australian Curriculum, is designed for secondary students, exploring topics of Habitats, Adaptations, Life Cycles and Food Webs. Programs can be adapted to suit the specific topics and needs of your school.
And for something totally jawsome, Sea Life Sunshine Coast is offering schools the rare opportunity to sleepover! Classes can come in the afternoon and stay overnight, giving students the opportunity to explore life behind the scenes, visit the Turtle Rehabilitation centre, experience a private and exclusive Seal Presentation, and be fully engaged in a wide range of hands-on educational fun. There is also the option of joining their Adventure Camp, where students can stay for three hours the next morning for some additional marine activities.
And just for the teachers, the aquarium has launched the Merlin Teachers Club, a private hub just for teachers, giving access to special offers, competitions, behind the scenes pictures, and more.
