New Camp Hill early learning centre redefines childcare in Brisbane

A new Camp Hill early learning centre has officially opened its doors, bringing with it a modern approach to childcare that blends architectural design, family-friendly services, and a focus on nurturing young learners.

Located on Old Cleveland Road, Plaîs Early Learning’s purpose-built centre is designed to support both children and parents, offering a mix of high-quality education and practical services that cater to the needs of busy Brisbane families.

Facilities designed for learning and play

The three-level centre features a range of thoughtfully planned spaces, including four outdoor play areas, all-weather sports pitches, a water park, a fairy garden, and a dedicated movie night zone. These facilities aim to spark creativity, support physical wellbeing, and provide opportunities for both structured and free play.

The centre also includes modern technology such as facial recognition entry and no-touch hygiene fittings, ensuring safety and convenience. An on-site kitchen supports daily routines, with meals prepared fresh by an in-house chef using seasonal ingredients. Children are offered five allergy-friendly meals and snacks each day.

Concierge-style family support

One of the most distinctive features of the new centre is its concierge service, which goes beyond traditional childcare offerings. Parents can collect takeaway dinners, drop off and pick up laundry, arrange parcel or pharmacy deliveries, or grab coffee and breakfast at drop-off time.

Plaîs Early Learning CEO Scott Coulter said the centre was built in response to the changing demands of modern families.

“Families today are juggling a lot, and the traditional childcare model hasn’t evolved to meet those needs. At Plaîs, we create centres that support the child, the parent and the rhythm of modern family life,” Mr Coulter said.

Focus on education and wellbeing

Education remains at the heart of the centre’s offering, with a play-based curriculum tailored to each child’s developmental stage. In the Kindergarten Room, there is a strong focus on confidence, curiosity, and school readiness.

Centre Manager Samantha Hayden said the approach to learning and care is highly individualised.

“We take the time to understand each child as an individual – how they learn, what inspires them and what they need to thrive,” Ms Hayden said.

“That personal connection is at the heart of everything we do. As well as preparing children for school, we’re helping them build confidence, curiosity, and a strong sense of belonging.”

Supporting children’s health is also a priority, with a full-time paediatric nurse on-site each day to manage health needs and medications.
