When I became a dad, I thought I had to have all the answers. I believed asking for help meant I wasn’t strong enough.
I was wrong.
Fatherhood is one of life’s greatest privileges, but it can also be one of life’s biggest challenges. Between work, finances, relationships and raising children, many dads quietly carry more than they let on. Too often, they do it alone.
That’s why I founded Dads Community, a safe, welcoming space where fathers can connect with other dads who simply get it. We believe connection is prevention, because no dad should have to hit rock bottom before asking for support.
Whether it’s joining our run club, hiking, playing futsal, attending family skirmish days, going on 4WD adventures, dad-and-kids meet-ups, or simply grabbing a coffee, every activity is designed to build genuine friendships and to remind fathers they’re not alone.
When dads feel supported, they become more confident, patient and emotionally available. That has a positive ripple effect on their children, relationships and the wider community.
Supporting fathers isn’t about choosing dads over mums; it’s about strengthening families. Children don’t need perfect parents; they need parents who feel connected, supported and able to keep showing up.
If you’re a father looking for connection or you know someone who could benefit, we’d love to welcome you.
